hey everything is turning out really nice from you. I got a bunch of new animals up that i have done recently if you get a chance to critique them i would greatly appreciate it.

haha shit im sorry i feel like an asshole, i looked again and saw you didnt do the sloth one... but i can definitely see where you get your inspiration! im sure you took that session as a huge lesson, theres alot of stuff you could take from it to apply to your work... real smooth fades, interesting line weights... youre really coming along, id say my main advice is reference, reference, reference... like i really liked where you were going with that blue hibiscus, but i think you could have gone over the top with it if you referenced a photo for where to put the shadows and folds. also a complimentary colour in the background would bump up alot of your animal pieces i think. like i really like what you did with the tropical fish i'd do more stuff like that.

wow youve really made a ton of progress fast! hands down the baking sloth is the best one, great use of muted colours, not over or under worked at all. i also really like the grey linework youve been putting in the details. may i ask any reason for the deluge of cartoon animals? i think its great to have this style youre into but id love to see what you'd do with, say, realistic flowers, or an animal drawn from photo references (which doesnt have to be tattooed photorealistically, it could be graphic but with realistic proportions), or a tattoo that has a forground and background in contrasting styles, or something else thats totally different. its just good to try a bit of everything so you dont limit potentially awesome clientelle who might not want strictly new school. you seem to have some pretty cool clients who trust you so use that to your advantage to stretch yourself and experiment and build a varied portfolio.
